1. Cancellation before production begins
You may cancel for a full refund before production begins. “Production begins” means we have started billable creative or technical work beyond automated intake and verification—for example casting, sample creation, narration generation, editing, artwork, scoring, or manual quality review.
If we decline the manuscript, cannot verify it, cannot fulfill the promised scope, or require a corrected quote that you do not approve before production begins, we will cancel and issue a full refund to the original payment method.
2. Cancellation after production begins
Because each audiobook is custom-made, a full refund is not normally available after production begins. If you cancel, we will calculate the work completed and nonrecoverable project-specific costs already incurred. We will refund the unused balance, if any, and provide a reasonable summary of that calculation.
If completed work and committed project costs equal or exceed the payment, no refund is due. This does not limit any non-waivable consumer right or a remedy for our failure to provide the purchased service.
3. Revisions and concerns after delivery
Please use the included revision process before requesting a refund for a correctable production issue. Submit one consolidated, time-coded list within 14 calendar days of delivery unless your written order gives another review window.
We will correct covered problems—such as omitted text, duplicated text, an objective editing defect, or an approved pronunciation correction—within the package’s included revision allowance. A change of preference after approving a voice sample, new manuscript text, a new creative direction, or work outside the agreed scope is not a production defect and may require a paid change order.
If a material covered defect cannot be corrected within a reasonable opportunity, we may reperform the affected work, issue a proportional refund, or issue a full refund where the deliverable is substantially unusable for its agreed purpose.
4. Word-count and scope discrepancies
Our server verifies eligible TXT, DOCX, and searchable PDF manuscripts before payment. Normal differences between estimated and final listening time do not change the paid price.
In the rare event that a hidden, damaged, incomplete, substituted, or incorrectly parsed file causes a material undercount to be discovered after payment but before production, we will pause and email the verified count and corrected amount. An undercount is material only when the corrected count is at least 5,000 words higher and increases the paid production price by at least 25%. You may approve and pay the difference, choose a smaller scope if feasible, or cancel for a full refund before production begins. We will never automatically charge the difference.
5. Delays and inability to deliver
Turnaround times are targets that begin only when the order is production-ready. If we determine we cannot deliver the agreed service, you may choose a reasonable revised schedule or a full refund for undelivered work. Delays caused by missing materials, customer approvals, scope changes, provider outages, or events outside reasonable control do not automatically create a refund right, but we will communicate and work toward a fair solution.
Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method. Bank and card-network posting times vary and are outside our control after the refund is submitted.
6. How to request a cancellation or refund
Email theauthorsecho@outlook.com with the subject “Cancellation Request” or “Refund Request.” Include your order number, purchaser email, book title, and a short explanation. Do not email card details or sensitive identity documents.
We will acknowledge the request and review the order status, work completed, included revision rights, and any provider costs. Nothing in this policy limits rights that applicable law does not allow us to waive.
